Just got a new frag

hi i just got a new frrag from somone and it has hair algae on it and im not sure what to do to it prior to putting it into my tank, thanks in advance.

what kind of coral it is?

You could use a q-tip with some hydrogen peroxide and apply it to the GHA. Just be careful if its a Acropora/Stoney Coral to not get the H2o2 on it.

Its just a nice size frag of fireworks and I can remove it i just got it and put it on sand bed until I know what to do.
