I recently purchased already established reef aquarium and I think one of them is Zoa.
Two questions:

1. Is this a Zoa?
2. If so, what is the name?

Those are green palys commonly referred to as "Texas trash". They are known for quickly growing over the rock and can take over the tank. They are also known to contain palytoxin, so if you decide to remove them, make sure you are careful and dispose of them in a safe manner.

Wow thanks to both of you. Do other hobbiest typically remove the ‘Texas Trash’ because they over take the tank like weeds?

Yes most people do as we typically want a different variety of paly or zoa “ more colorful or unique” . Also those might take over your tank and irritate and make it hard to keep some other corals you might want. But if you do keep them just isolate them away from your other rock and you should be fine.

Thanks for your input. I didn’t like this coral because it was not colorful at all. I will be removing this one from my tank for sure!
