I have a fee lps in my tank , was wondering if it's normal for a torch not to fully extend when places in a new tank ? At the lfs it was extended 3 or 4 inches from the base at my house I'm only getting an inch or inch and a half extension. Is this short term ?

Yes, it may take several days to acclimate.

It will take some days to acclimate to the new system. Just see that you’ve don’t place him in a high flow area. Euphyllias are so beautiful they bring a whole lot of movement in the tank.

I just got one as well. It took a day or two for it to fully extend. Now it's flowing in the currents. Try feeding it some mysis. You can also try turbulent current in order for it to "sway" as opposed to a single direction.
Good luck!
