Just got a TP-Link KP303 Smart Power Strip

@ $40 for a 3 plug smart power strip......
This thing cant be beat!

Downloaded the Kasa App, in less than 2 minutes the powerstrip was connected to my wifi and even updated its firmware.

The sole reason for this purchase was to integrate the need for 3x 24/7 automatic timers and a powerstrip together for my 3x dosing pumps. I was a little worried the timer schedule wouldnt let me program it the way i wanted but its fully customizable for as many on/offs as you want in any given day.

In my honest opinion, this does the job beautifully, cheaper and more reliably. Also gives me peace of mind while im away and easier to dial in than the complicated timers i was using.

I think i was in the hole over $30 already for a quality power strip and not including the $15/piece timers, this thing is worth its weight in gold to me

Its like an apex but without the probes lol.

These smart outlets are great. I have one on one of my tanks to control the lights and pumps. I was even able to make a macro so I can tap one button and it turns off all the pumps for feeding and another to turn then back on.

I’d like to do the same. I’m looking at the FAQs on the app to find out about macros and can’t find it. Would you happen to know where the create the macro is located? Thanks

Yes. In the kasa app they are called scenes

These can also be controlled by a reef pi if you build one out to add probes into the mix. I'm looking to pick one up myself to integrate with my reef pi instead of doing a hardwired relay controlled power strip.
