I think it looks closed lol! Wait for it to open.
I do it’s at the very top of the tank, I think it found its place now. It’s going to move around until it finds a spot it likes. Do you have any powerheads inside the tank? Wandering anemones can sometimes get sucked into the powerhead and chopped to pieces. Best to put some sort of screen over the powerhead to prevent this, or even shut them down until the nem settles in.
If this is your first nem, please heed the great advice above. Protect all powerheads/wave makers and any other source of possible injury. It's not just for the nem. Chopped nem can and will weak havoc on your entire system up to and including a toxic crash.I do it’s at the very top of the tank, I think it found its place now.
What would I put around it? I also have a hob, would I cover that too?If this is your first nem, please heed the great advice above. I cut a piece that will cover the entire intake side of the device with a tad of overhang. Small dab of super glue to hold it in place then use 2lb fishing line to secure it in place. It only takes a few minutes to do. I've found that a kitchen bristled brush works great for cleaning. For a screen, what lost in the sauce posted will work great, just need to figure out how to make it look neat as well as protect the nem. For something like MP10 or MP40, lots of people sell 3d printed covers for them. I haven't looked for covers for other power heads, but they may exist.
Will it move or stay there?I cut a piece that will cover the entire intake side of the device with a tad of overhang. Only he knows. Lol. Could be days or years. Will it move or stay there?
Really an impossible answer to give. I own about 40 nems At this point and I only know of one that has never moved, If that's any indicator?.Will it move or stay there?
Mine did not move for months but then decided to start exploring. They all ended up at the highest point of the rockwork where most light is. So she might stay there, she might move, thats the joy of nems. Will it move or stay there?
