I thought I'd introduce myself here as nobody likes strangers..

So here goes..
My name is Paul, I'm 37 and from Manchester in the U.K.

I've become a member of most forums but seldom post on them all.. But my username is livingjewels.. And I share the same name on all that I've joined.

My username comes from my earlier years in life when I kept koi carp, they was commonly referred to as 'the living jewels' because of their beautiful colours.. It was a very similar resemblance when I entered into this amazing hobby..so I thought I'd adopt the same discription and relevance for connecting with the natural colours commonly found in the marine environment.

So here I am..
I first made an attempt at marine, in 2011 when our 2nd child Noah was born, unfortunately my marine adventure only lasted 7 to 8 months, due to the commitments of my family..
My kids are now 7 and 4.5 and don't require the same demands as when they was newborns, so I thought I'd give the hobby a 2nd go..
Things are a little more easier to control now.. I find it a little demanding at times, trying to maintain my work, family and my hobby life in a healthy balance.

Marines are a rewarding hobby, and always throws a new challenge to you everyday.. There's so much to learn and it had me hooked from the moment I walked in the reef shop..

Anyway I've hopefuly built some kind of picture, of who I am and where I lie in terms of my lifestyle..

I look forward to catching up at some point..

Thanks for reading..

Regards Paul

Welcome Paul to R2R....it will likely prove to be the last "fish" forum you'll need to join. Start a build thread here and tell about your system. And, by the way, the kids get a little more demanding as they age...at least on your wallet!
