I was told that I could no longer have candles or my candle wax stuff in the living room anymore because of the tank is this true or is my living room gonna look sad for x mas
 
You can have them but don't burn them in the area of the reef. If they are really strongly scented keep them away from close proximity, as an aside aerosol room fresheners are even more problematic, i.e., glade, lysol, febreeze, insect killers, etc. That's my opinion anyway. With the investment in the reef it's a small price to pay. P.S. I have cleaned carpets around the tank using only shampoo component, no sanitizers, etc.

Ok I just thought everyone was crazy I suppose it's fake candles for x mas lol
 
I did until I bought better lights for my coral so now I don't not cool
