-__- Sometimes I wonder why I even try to keep a reef tank, they always give me problems. So besides fighting a bubble algae outbreak that's getting so bad, I have had to remove some rocks.....I now have hair algae growing on the rocks plus my one SPS is still STN for no real reason. At this point its just so freaking frustrating.....Sorry, just needed to rant

Sorry bud some of this you're aware is not uncommon when starting up a new tank doesn't make it easier I know. Hopefully you get it under control soon and get feeling better about it. Relax have a drink n remember slowly great things happen n rip as much out as you can lol. I lost a sps in ours for no real reason I see but can't let it defeat you there's plenty of good days ahead.

Its always something is it not? Rant heard, time to move on. :D Have a good evening

If it was easy everyone would have a reef tank.

Battling the same thing so you're not alone bud!

Except all my sps are happy, it's my dang acans that keep receding. Really just LPS in general have me stumped right now.

Everything takes time. The good days are worth it

Keep your head up buddy! I'm battling some persistent diatoms at the moment so I feel your frustration. This too shall pass. (At least that's what I'm telling myself)
I had a diatom problem too, tank 18 months old or so, although my TDS were zero my Rodi membrane was used up and silica was in my source water. Evidently it takes a lot of silica to increase TDS. any way, six weeks later, my sand is near about spotless.

Oo trust me I feel your frustration.. almost broke down the tank and left the hobby about a week ago. Things still aren't fixed, fighting bryopsis, brown algea everywhere, lose on average 1 zoa colony a week, lost rbt, and huge bubble coral colony is not ejecting it's zooxanthellae. But all my levels are within normal ranges. I know how you feel!

I'm in the same boat as most of you, I am in the process of upgrading to a 90 gallon and I have had a problem every single day sometimes twice a day. I ask myself why I don't just keep my 46 gallon and be happy. I know that when everything is done I will be happy and I will have learned a lot. Just keep pushing along and search for the light at the end of the tunnel
