Just ordered my Innovative Marine 25 Lagoon

Quick question, I have been running the GFO and the carbon provided by innovative marine that comes with the tank but it’s been a month and it seems it’s exhausted. I ordered some 5.5oz chemipure blue to replace it with. My phosphates are at 0.08. Will adding the chemipure blue have any negative consequences to my tank?

That's what I use in my tank, it should work fine for you. I also changed to it after my IM pack was exhausted Your phosphate is okay although higher than the ideal. Mine's way higher and my tank is fine-but all tanks are different.

What do you use for testing phosphate? I use Hanna’s ULR phosphate checker.

Do you rinse the chemipure blue and are you using the 5.5oz bags in a innovative marine lagoon 25 as well?

Yes & yes except I have the IM 30 L almost the same just a different shape. I also use the Chemipure Nano packets in my IM 14 Peninsula.

It’s been quite some time since I updated this thread. I now have a Neptune Apex A3 with this tank. Tons of new coral as well. Still running strong. Looking to upgrade to the IM100 EXT in the next few months, but in the meantime here are some new shots of the tank. Please don’t kill me I don’t have a blue light filter.

Looking good! I upgraded to the 40 L. its the perfect size for me. IM had the 100 g for 40% off not sure if that sale is still good.

Found a good deal on a Radion XR15 G6 Blue so that will be over this tank shortly. Went with the RMS mount. Hoping for alot more even PAR spread than the Ai Prime 16HD.

Running the XR15 G5 on mine and i love it, quite the powerhouse comparatively make sure you start it low

On the IM25 lagoon? How’s the spread? I have a purple and green hammer on the edge of my tank that could use more par but the other colors have enough. The spread difference is what sold me on it. Plus I’ve heard it’s the best light there is. Oh that and the evenness of the PaR

Spread is good i actually run a shade from eel river coral so it’s restricted very slightly as far as brightness on the edges, with no shade there is no difference between middle of the tank and sides visually, havent par tested

Radion XR15 G6 blue set up and running. Beautiful blue with no disco ball affect like with the Prime. Love it!!!
