Just picked up this Bad Boy!

Went into my local LFS and saw this bad boy. Sitting at 3" I asked how much? My guy told me the best I can do is $40. I said, I will take it!!!! What do you think?????

Very good deal! One of my firsts and always a favorite. It's fun to see how much variation they can have as they inflate and deflate. Don't be surprised if it takes on a dome shape now and then. Perfectly normal for large LPS to shape-shift.

It's a trachyphyllia brain coral. Wellsophyllia, or wellso for short, is an old name for them, but most people still call them that and will know what you mean when you say wellso brain.

I love my brain too! I think I paid about the same...it was about 3-4" at the store. After about a week at home I was shocked to see it fully expand to 6-7" across! Hope yours does the same.

Nice wellso,I feed mine 1/4 in piece of raw shrimp once a week. When my alk gets to low around 6.5 it shrinks up for a few days, I try to keep my alk around 10, but I slack off every now and then.
