Whelp I just pulled the trigger! I’ve been lurking on these forums for forever and it’s time to start my 1st saltwater tank! Purchased a 210g acrylic tank with a black acrylic sump. I did get a separate ato container and a tunze for what will hopefully be automated top off and eventually water changes. Now while I wait I do have a plan. Finish the basement order a rodi setup from brs and start going . Looking forward to feed back. My ultimate goal
Is a mixed reef with sps cool looking fish and a decent aqua scale. As I grow in the hobby of like lps as well and we’ll see on other stuff! Super stoked and I hope you enjoy the ride as
much as I do!!!!

Pictures or it didn't happen...LOL!!! At least a picture of your beautiful daughter geeking out over at the LFS!!!

Congrats on the new tank, can't wait to see it come together.

Awesome!

What fish do you plan to keep?
So this is a super rough list:
Fiji or regular fox face (only 1 they’re shy and aggressive to other rabbit fish)
Copper band butterfly from
NY aquatics. They eat mysis!
Kupang Yellowtail Damsel (keep a small group can be aggressive when they grow up)
Zebra Moray Eel (need a feed stock they eat 1-2 times a week and can hibernate. Feed with a feed stick)
Snowflake Eel as an alternative to the Zebra ‍♂️
Yellow watchman goby (pair with a pistol shrimp make sure the shrimp is cool in an acrylic tank!)
Yellow headed sleeper goby (needs live sand)
Matted tile fish (eats aiptasia like crazy when you introduce?)
Gray Head Wrasse or Ornate Weasse(needs sand may clean other fish. Needs at least a 2” sand bottom. Can keep a few)
Black and white heniochus
Bi color pseudo (get a small school needs hiding places)
Blue spot Toby puffer
Gold stripe Maroon clownfish pair (reef safe?)
Bangai cardinal (only 2 feed them feeder shrimp or meaty food)
Powder brown tang (only 1 super peaceful)
Chocolate tang (only 1 super peaceful)
Blue Hippo tang

I’m sure the eels gotta go and there are probably too many tangs but like I said super rough

Sweet, it is alway exciting to see a build come together. Especially a 210 gal system.

You are already ahead of most. :)

Yes they are reef safe, just very aggressive. They love bubble tip anemone.
Thank you and thanks for the info! No doubt I’ll be revisiting this list for a while. In the meantime I’m waiting for the next petco sale to purchase some quarantine tanks!
