As it matures and transitions into male it will lose all those spots and will develop striping on the face. The fins will also develop stripes. Here's a picture of a fully-developed male leucoxanthus:

Will it do okay in a 33long tankYour wrasse is actually H. leucoxanthus aka yellow and purple wrasse or whitebelly wrasse.

That tank is only 12" tall, correct? That's pretty shallow for this wrasse to be kept in long term. Does the tank have a mesh/ screen lid?Will it do okay in a 33long tank
