I never came across one before, but the new goal is to get a large tank for a spotted sweetlips (or the harlequin sweetlips) this thing was so beautiful! I hate that im waiting until i buy a house for that big tank!!

You're gonna need a bigger tank.

Those guys change a lot as they grow, with the spots turning dark and much more numerous on a lighter background. They grow a lot, too - two feet long and 15 pounds or so . . .

Oh yeah, ive been planning a grouper FOWLR for years. Keep a 125 reef in the living room and a larger one in the basement. I have a 300 gallon acryllic in storage, but may have to go bigger if the wife allows me.

Of course this is probably 2 years away.

I watched a video of the different growth and patterns. Unbelievably beautiful at every stage.

I have an oriental sweetlips.. Awesome fish
I just looked this up, its definately awesome. Do u have a pic of him in ur tank? Is it reef or FOWLR? What kinds of corals if its a reef? Any issues for you? How fast has he been growing?
