Hey guys, just wanted to share my happiness...

It Finally happened, 1 of my clowns finally started occupying my anemone

Took 6½ week, and gotta admit, i allmost gave up.. But it worked..

Now im just curious if its only 1 of them thats gonna do it, or the other 3 will follow the example.

So you have 4 clowns? That can a recipe for disaster if your tank isn’t big enough. It is possible to have more that two (I currently have 3 sharing a large Ritteri nem) but it has to be done very carefully and over time. What are your tank’s specs?

100x60x35 cm + sump, about 300 liter.. but thats not gonna be a problem for a few years, my clowns are still very small, less than ½ the size of the scarlet skunks..

Plenty of time to grow

IMO that’s a really small tank for 4 clowns that will grow pretty fast, but I’ve been wrong before! Just keep an eye out when they start to get aggressive especially if they all relatively the same size. Best of luck and keep us posted!!

just an update as promised, my joy didnt last long

The following 2 days my anemone kept moving, sadly towards 1 of my pumps, i moved the pump a few inches, 3x when the anemone got withing touching range...

Aparently it stressed my anemone so much that it split, which was great for me.. but sadly both anemones decided to stay near the surface, 1 on the pump itself (its turned off ofc) and 1 on the split location..

But aparently the clowns dont like to be at the surface so the it didnt wanna host anymore

guess ill just have to wait and see if the anemones decide to move again, i realy hope they do, cause the turned off pump leaves a dead spot in circulation, which resulted in a green area on my sand bed
