Hello people I’m new to the R2R
I’ve been keeping a reef aquarium for 20+ years . My first coral was some brown zoes.
And still have them today LOL . Back in the 90s I started reef keeping , with a 29g I think. Then I upgraded it to a 40g still have today . ( a tall 29g ) It was beautiful with softies and lsp corals for several years . I used compacts for lights and made a very quality light fixture. ( 165 watts )
Then I bought a house and let it coast for several years , then came 10-15 years of neglect.
But this year I’m reinterested. I’m back.
First came a few water changes , then a new light fixture ( LED ) . Then came a fish ( a simple and cheap blue demsel. Some coral survived. The list of survivors are about a dozen blue mushrooms and several reds . And the tiniest peace of a yellow scroll coral , and 20-25 year old brown Zoe polyps.
Lately I’m interested in sps like acropora and bought 3 frags so far . A green , pink , and a blue frags . The green is now in the tank 5 weeks and is showing growth and promise. The pink and blue are 2 days old and polyps are out .
So there’s my story and where I’m at at this time .
It’s a pleasure to sign on to the forum THX
