*Welcome to Reef2Reef @Snuggs !* In short I would suggest larger water changes,maybe 25%.You could also add a little more flow to the areas of the tank that are stagnant and the cyano tends to settle.For algae control I like to use activated carbon and carbon dosing as well.In addition be sure to start taking notes about your system.Having the water parameters on file is very helpful when figuring out a treatment plan.Maybe even create a build thread with your aquarium details here
