Juv angelfish

Is there a rough time that it takes juv emperor angelfish to change to adult colours ?

mice had this guy over 2 years

This next one is December 2020

I haven’t got an up to date one available but he’s pretty much fully transformed to adult colours now, so in answer to your question maybe around 3-4 years in this case

My old emperor started transitioning at 5”.

Have to say though I miss the transition phase. It’s so spectacular seeing it happen you get anxious looking for more lines to straighten then when it’s done you want more.

I was considering adding an adult emperor today .
but not sure if 2 in the same tank is a good idea .

Diet plays a huge role. Feed feed feed lol. Mine started changing at 4” he’s 6 or 7” now.
