i know theres no exact answer to this.. but generally speaking when a fish starts getting his adult colors.. how long does it usually take for it to fully transition.. like my orange shoulder seems to be getting darker and then other times that yellow is right back... and the vlamingi tang i can def see hes getting the dark blue lines... so i was just curious if anyone had an idea about how long it takes to transition...

yeah i kinda figured that.. i was just curious ball park.. ive started soaking all the food in selcon and amino acids.. and really change up their foods daily to give as much variety as i can..

my blue tang took just a few months to go from YELLOW to blue. he was lime green for about a month. tail was the last to go. in looking at photos, he was VERY yellow in june. in August he was still pretty yellow. maybe a little green. October I would say he was pretty green and by december 1st he was completely blue except a bit of a green tail.

BTW, there was no diet change on this fish. flakes and seaweed.
