I thought I would make a build thread for anyone else looking to convert the Juwel vision 260 to saltwater! This is my first saltwater tank but I do have a 180L tropical tank also.

I bought the tank second hand it has a few scratches which I will try and polish out but overall in good condition.

Spec:
  • Standard bioflow L filter with inbuilt heater and powerhead. (Mechanical and chemical filters)
  • Tunze DOC protien skimmer
  • T5 Juwel marine and blue bulbs with reflectors
  • Red Sea Coral Pro Salt

Ill update with my progress!

Nice looking tank! Cant wait to see it filled!

Now have the tank up and running, need to install some extra circulation pumps/wave maker and let the cycle complete!

Added 2 Clown fish, 2 Sea stars and a cleaner shrimp, lots of bristle worms and pods living within the live rock. All parameters have been stable with no spikes.

Quick update, parameters are all still stable and some more additions to the tank lately with a green mandarin, peppermint shrimps, live copepods and a coral beauty. I have decided to keep the internal filter housing which now contains Phorax and activated carbon with a floss filter for catching waste ( changed weekly) i have also added a uv filter inside the internal filter casing which worked great for keeping the tank looking clutter free!

I know its been a long time, was just wondering how and what uv filter you added to your existing internal filter?
