I just installed my k-1 nano skimmer and I have a question. I know it takes a few weeks to break in but I am not sure how to set the flow??? should I leave it wide open for awhile or should it be closed?? please help as I really want this skimmer to break in properly and work to its maximum capabilities. Thanks a lot in advance for the help i'm sure i'll receive......

I have not had that specific brand of skimmer, but I always set the valve so it’s creating nice bubbles and skim. And adjust as it starts to break in.

Set it to where the bubbles are hitting the bottom of the collection cup. Mine was pulling skim in a hour or so then gradually had to lower it over the course of a week then haven't really bothered it since.

Usually, you want to set it fully open for the first few days/weeks. That way, it doesn't overflow if it starts kicking in. Restrict it from there once you see good skimming.
