Kakitsubata SPS Reef

Andrey, your reef is amazing!
Just waiting some Japanese music in the next video. :)

Hi!

Hope you are well! :)

Let me share with you the current state of my reef.

As you can see the corals look pretty well but at the same time you can notice some lack of colour or maybe I got bored and I just find fault with reef :) Howbeit, I am not planning to change anything in keeping the balance.

Have a good day!

Frag to Colony

One year ago I bought the little noname green SPS frag. For a long time there was no growth at all.

But two months ago this frag suddenly decided to be the real colony and showed me that such rapid growth.

And the best part is, it got the blue tips.

Welcome to the group! Excellent transformation, love it ! Also thanks for sharing the parameters

How do you deal with algae? Are you running a reactor for media? What about any additives such as kz products or acro power or Red Sea supps?

Hi, thank you!

STUNNING reef!! Love this!
You are welcome!

Thanks for your attention!

Awesome transformation Andrey! Welcome!
I truly enjoy being a part of R2R community.

Beautiful reef. What kind of fish do you keep? Thank you for sharing.

I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news. During this week I lost 2 fishes. The chain of circumstances began last Friday when I found that my Chelmon rostratus got into bad moods and refused to consume a frozen bloodworm and artemia. And today I found one of my Lyretail Anthias in the liverock... Current population of the reef is Pseudocheilinus hexataenia and Lyretail Anthias.

How do you deal with algae?
What type of algae do you mean?
The most difficult was the deal with dinoflagellates. It was something like a local war and I used several methods from mechanical filtration (5 micron), cleaning the sand to adding nannochloropsis also I increased the level of nitrate and phosphate.

Are you running a reactor for media?
No

HWhat about any additives such as kz products or acro power or Red Sea supps?

I had some bad experience with FM additives. During the last 2 years I have been using the Reef Crystals sea salt that has already included a lot of additional trace elements. And adding trace elements to this mix could be too dangerous for Acros. So I decided to use only water changes.

Wow! Beautiful tank! Amazing pictures!

Hi guys, thank you very much for your kind words! You are welcome!

Some updates and news.

I've been travelling during the last three weeks. After arriving I met the reef in a pretty good mood. I noticed good growth of my acros, only ciano algae appeared on the sand in some places. So I decided to use BOYD Chemiclean and ciano algae has gone in three days. And now nothing prevents me to share with you new pics!
