Those of you that have this can you help me out ? Im wondering if i have my calculations right .......

I have 6 10 gallon tanks for breeding clowns hooked up to a 20 long sump. So 80 gallons give or take. Fully running ill have 12 fish in there. Giving that a fish weighs about 10 grams an inch ill have 210 g of fish.

So 210 g of fish

Feed 3% of body weight Is 6.3 grams of waist.

One liter of k1 supports 2.5 grams of waist. ( not all food will be considered waist right ?)

I have 3.78 Liters so i can process 9.45 grams per day.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Or
One cube of food is 3.125 Grams

i have 3.78 liters of K1

One liter of K1 =2.5 of waist filtration.

so i could prosses 9.25 G of waist with my gallon of k1.

So 3 cubes a day can be Processed.

Ive seen people saying that this is the minimum amount it can handle. Suposedly it can filter more.
So am i right in my thinking i have enuf ?

I don't know anyone who uses this method for breeding purposes. The abundance of food is what will make it more likely for clowns to spawn. Then quality of water will be the next most important with skimming and water changes.

That's just my take from experience on this subject.

This would be my sole means of filtration. Skimmer is slightly undersized (rated for 75 gallons) Wc will be done on a set schedule.

I never try it on saltwater but when I had my 125 and 90 freshwater setup,i used the K1 as my only filtration and never had any problem. Both were plumed together to the same sump.I had 1.5 lbs in the sump which get tumble around by a air pump.I would think that the K1 would work better in a saltwater tank since all the dead bacteria would get skim out.I forgot his name but the guy that breed the lighting clowns iirc use the K1 in his system.
