Kalk and Calcium reactors (or kalk vs. calcuim reactors)

I really hope this doesn't come across as a silly question but is there a point to running both a kalk reactor AND a calcium reactor? Seems like I have heard of some folks using both. Doesn't kalk accomplish the same objective? My tank is SPS dominant but I also have several exotic chalices that I want to see flurish. Right now I'm using 2 part in my new tank.

Is one better than the other?

I think it depends on your usage of Calcium and Alkalinity. If the Kalk reactor can keep up then you will be fine without the calcium reactor. If you are having issues keeping the levels up the Calcium Reactor would benefit the tank. You could just use the 2-part and a Kalk reactor though if that is easier to keep up with.

I do believe the Kalk reactor increases PH and the Calcium Reactor can decrease PH so they kinda cancel each other's PH effect out while accomplishing the same goal...
