I have ph issues with my kalk reactor. I have a precicion marine reactor and gravity fed from a 5 gallon jug with a float valve to control the water intake to the sump. When I first set it up I follow the instructions on stirring the kalk 4 times a day for 10 min and my ph started going up and it got up to 8.6 so I stop stirring it and now It stay at 8.3 during the night and all the way till around 3 in the after noon but for a few hours after that it goes up to 8.47 can some one give me some pointers on what to do.

nothing.

PH will vary with lighting as algae and other plant life consume co2in the system.

but sounds to me like you got it all under control.

How are you testing your PH? I agree your probably fine, 8.6 is a little high though.

Did anything bleach ? I would slow down on kalk ph 8.4 is way to high check the cal ,mag ,alk one of these is off .

One of my sps did. My calcium is 440 my alk is 8.0 and my mag is showing 1600 on red sea kit which im kind of questioning cause it has not go down in a while.@

How long have you been using the Red Sea Mg kit? I know they are a little laborious to use, and if not done by the numbers will give you erroneous results. All other parameters look great.

More often than not high PH issues will be from testing errors.
