I am currently running a cal reactor. I was wondering if anybody here also run kalk at the same time?

I would like to connect the kalk reactor on a ph controller and to turn on at 8.4 and off at 8.5, this will be used as a top off at the same time.

What would the effects be? I heard it can cause alk and cal to rise? but it will be used as a top off at the same time? some insight would be great.

I use both. I just add some to my top off to help with PH. I don't think I would run it off a PH controller though, worry more on the Alkalinity numbers.

I have used both as a combo for a long time. And I will probably always use kalk in every system I own. Its simplicity it unparalleled.

What I use is a kamoer doser on a drip with the kalk. I adjust up as needed, being just shy of where my full topoff amount would be just to be safe. I run the calcium reactor at the minimum (highest) ph I can to maintain my alk and calcium. I've found this is the best method for me through the years. Keeps my ph on the higher end while still using a ca-rx

PH Controller probe will be from the DT, and set to turn off at 8.5.

Can you explain the wonders of it?
