Kalk in ato?

Was going to try to dose a little kalk though ato ! I use a Tunze ato how do u keep the kalk from settling at the bottom? Would a small nano power head be to much on a timer to mix every few hours

I just have my pump sitting in a plastic cup so it doesn't suck up the actual sediment. It's been working well for about 8 months now.

I believe with kalk you actually don't want to dose what has settled out to the bottom. @Randy Holmes-Farley would have a good answer on this.

I always used eggcrate stacked 3 high under my Tunze pump when I was using Kalk

Right, and 2 teaspoons per gallon is about the saturation point.

Yea i've heard that also but only when you have larger SPS's. Just test your water every water change and that's really the guideline on how much to dose!

"No dosing without testing" is a pretty universal rule to live by, regardless of what is being dosed!

This is what I've heard. That is why Tunze has a separate kalk reactor to use with their ATO.
