Kalk in ATO

I am going to start running Kalk in my ATO, problem is my 10g ATO tank is not airtight. I plan on placing a piece of acrylic over the container but it will by no means be airtight. Is this an issue or will I be ok?

The ATO reservoir need not be air tight. The tightness of a typical trash can lid is adequate. Just don't keep stirring it.
