If I were to mix kalk in a large container, would I have to empty out the sediment every time I mix new? Or can I just leave it. I would be mixing fully saturated. Thx

You can leave it. I believe many folks may clean it out once per year, if ever. If you have lots of sediment, you may be using a little too much. Use slightly less in the next batch.

Leave it. It will be a slurry of precipitated elements and undiluted lime. On the next fill and stirring what had precipitated out previously will precipitate out again and undiluted lime may now become diluted if you didn't add to much in again. Otherwise anything precipitated and undiluted will settle back out. Once a year cleaning is good. (I went many years with out... but I wouldn't suggest it.)

Good read for anyone dosing limewater.

You put de lime in de coconut, you drink 'em bot' togedder
Put de lime in de coconut and you'll feel better,
Put de lime in de coconut, drink 'em bot' up,
Put de lime in de coconut and call me in the morning."

Woo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo.
Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo.

Brudder bought a coconut, he bought it for a dime,
His sister had anudder one she paid it for a lime.
She put de lime in de coconut, she drank 'em bot' up
She put de lime in de coconut and called de doctor, woke 'I'm up.
