SO I finally hooked my KALK reactor up last night. The reactor is inline with the ATO and is the standard setup. My question is the reactor has a stir motor but the water is always cloudy and when it enters the sump it is a milky white. Is it the kalkwasser I am using?

Using the Natureef Reef Former Powder technical grade.

what are others using?

Once you add the Kalkwasser to the stirrer, the water will be cloudy for a bit. After 4-24 hours the water at the top of the reactor should be crystal clear, and the bottom 1-2" should be milky. If your feed rate is correct when the ATO runs through the Kalk reactor only the clear water from the reactor should flow into the tank. If when the ATO is running the Rx is getting cloudy water from the bottom rising up to the top then the flow rate into the kalk reactor is too high.

Ok. I am using a tunze osmolator on 12v with a two foot line into the Kalk reactor and the feed line dumps over the side of the sump. I might add another tube to the sump side.

Ah it might have been caused by not having the reactor fully filled which stirred the bottom and caused my issue. Might explain it and the Avast Marine ATO isn't the best, so I have it turned off mostly. Waiting on the Tunze ATO system with the digital eye system from BRS.

I'm confused. You said you are using a Tunze osmolator in one post then in the next you are saying you ordered one from BRS. So what are you using currently? Can you post a pic?
