I just set up a avast kalk reactor to supplement my Calcium reactor and raise ph....set it up with my DOS at the moment starting slow
15ml 3 times a day...for those that run this setup how many ml per day is average because if its alot i would switch and put it on a peristaltic pump like the versa.tank is 140 gal full of sps.

I'm dosing about 2000ml a day using an Avast reactor on my 180g tank. The effect on PH isn't as drastic as you think, maybe 0.1 or so at that volume. You can definitely push is further, even if you have to turn down your CalRx a little to maintain levels.

This is what I’ve been thinking about doing as well. Would you recommend it? What has your pH change been? Right now I’m 7.9-8.1 from morning to evening with a CO2 scrubber.

my ph is down to 7.56 to 7.93 at the moment,,,i will increase the kalk daily to see what happens...alk is 8.5 dosing 40ml a minute from my calcium reactor

That amount will do nothing useful.

Adding 1.25% of the total tank volume (more than a gallon in your case) will boost pH instantly by about 0.6 pH units, but that fades as the tank pulls in CO2.

Thus, adding 0.125% (660 mL in your case) will boost pH by about 0.06 pH units, which seems an OK amount to dose at once, although there may be local high pH issues until it mixes in. Better yet, much less dosed many more times a day.

I use a Versa through my Kalk reactor, I really like it. I had DOS pumps and I didn't like that they didn't continually dose. Peristaltic IMO is way better.
