If you mean calcium reactor vs calcium mixer(stirrer?) they are a bit different.
A calcium reactor resolves coral gravel/skeleton and add calcium, magnesium, carbonates and other stuff to the tank.
A calcium mixer is filled with calcium hydroxide, which increases KH and pH mostly, and add a little calcium.

No I mean for kalkwasser

Stir bar much better than pump.

The terms kalk reactor and kalk stirrer are used interchangeably. I've never heard of a convention that kalkwasser devices with a pump must be called "reactors," while devices that use a mechanical stirring arm must be called "stirrers". Personally, I consider them both to be the same thing: they both keep the saturation of lime water at 100% at all times, regardless of whether they use a pump or mechanical arm to stir.

Personally, I would go with a reactor that has a manual stirring device. The lime water doesn't need to be agitated aggressively to maintain 100% saturation. In general, it's best to keep the mixing as gentle as possible to avoid working in any additional CO2, which encourages calcium carbonate to precipitate and wastes calcium hydroxide powder. In a properly sealed reactor, there is probably not much difference between a stirrer and powerhead, but I would still go with the lower-tech stirring option.

I know they make the one that stirs with a motor or the one with a powerhead to mix the kalkwasser
Okey, sorry. In Sweden they are called Kalk mixers :) But it's the same as stirrers. And calcium hydroxide is the powder to make kalkwasser.
I've only used the stirrer, so can't say anything about the one with a powerhead.

I am interested in this also.

Thanks for your help and clarifying some stuff for me. Does anyone have a recommendation for a kalk stirer then.. brand or personal review?

I have been extremely happy with the avast unit.

I DIYed both types and the stirrer is the way to go, IMO. Not a very hard project if you like to tinker.

I have the two little fishes unit with my Tunze ATO and I really love it. My rank is 136 gallons mixed. The system just works.
