Has anyone setup a kalk reactor downstream of their tunze osmolator auto-topoff? If so, any tips or tricks I should look at other than avoiding the creation of a siphon? One of the things I worry about is head pressure for the tunze.
I started like this for a while and head pressure wasnt an issue but my evaporation was too uneven so now I have it set in parallel rather than serial to my osmolator. Happy with that set up so far.
I have with really good results on my last reef and plan to do the same with my new tank. Granted I ran a calcium reactor in addition to it.
It can be a pain to get the tunze tubing coming from the metering pump to hook into the sharkbite/pex fittings on the kalk reactor I used but it eventually worked.
