Kalk reactor yea or nay?

Currently dosing kalk in my ATO water. It works well but as many know it makes the ATO res dirty and can shorten pump life. Thinking about a kalk reactor as a better/cleaner approach. Looking for that push to buy one. I have a doser I can use to push water through the reactor and dose the kalk solution. Please give me that push, share experience with kalk reactors and setups.
