Any advice before I install this bad boy?
It is going to be added inline with my ro top off.

Well my system is....
5 gallon ro holding tank that has float switch which is connected to the ro unit.
then I have a parastalic pump that takes water from the ro holding tank and sends it into the kalk reactor. The pump is controlled by an electrical float switch that is located in the aquarium sump.
The water then goes from the kalk reactor into the sump.

Can the Kalk reactor pump be ran for too much time??? My timer can only run it for 30 minutes minimum at a time.

That is one monster of a kalk reactor. How tall is that thing?

You don't want the pump to operate for more than a minute at a go. Get yourself a digital timer to control the pump. Anymore and the kalk will precipitate/build up on the pump and freeze up the impeller in short order.

I think gastone missed that you're using a peristaltic pump. :)

I still wouldn't do 30 min. at a time, though, personally.

You may want to consider a controller. The Aquatronica even has an accessory peristaltic pump you can get that has 3 pumps on it and can be rather intricately controlled.

Do at least get a digital timer, though. 30 minutes is scary.

The reactor is a total overall length of around 5 ft. I have a reservoir filled by the ro/di. From there my float switch turns on/off the peristaltic pump. That pump pulls water from the reservoir and forces it into the reactor and then into the overflow of the display. The recirc pump on the reactor turns on several times a day. Everything is on a timer so neither pump runs at the same time.

Well I just picked up a timer for free that runs 15 min intervals so I cut the time in half. My new digital timer is on its way in the mail should be in tomorrow.

I got my digital timer in the mail today. I set the timer to run the mag 2 recirc pump for 1 minute 3 times a day.
