Kalk settling in ATO

How much settling should I expect when dosing kalk from my ATO? I have a 10 gallon container for the ATO and I mix my kalk at 1/2 tsp per gallon. I notice there is a decent layer of powder at the bottom when I get towards the end of the ATO water. Not a measurable thickness, but enough that it is all white.

That's normal. It may be partly undissolved calcium hydroxide, and calcium carbonate from the calcium hydroxide reacting with CO2 in the air.

I'd just ignore it.
