Kalk Stirrer on/off

Hi guys,

I have just started running an aqua medic kalk stirrer.

Just wondering. Should I be turning it on for say 15 minutes every hour to save motor life or just keep the thing spinning?

If I was going to buy a limewater reactor (which I planned to do a few months ago but just didn't pull the trigger), I would stir for a few minutes shortly after the dose completed. My reason for planning this way is because limewater retains potency pretty well. The only time the potency really drops is right after you dose. So if you stir right after each dose, that will return the limewater to full potency and give the solids time to settle before the next dose.
