Kalk stirrer to Float valve

I have a non pressure kalk stirrer setup. It's the Avast Marine setup. Enters via 1/4" RO tube off the ATK pump and exits at the top through a 1/2" barb. I have a 12" tube on it right now, but really would like to run it through a float valve. So I guess I need to get from a 1/2 barb fitting down to a 1/4 RO and I'd like to do it with as few adapters as possible.

I use one on my main tank. I just let the ato pump water through it as water is needed to top off. Been much better for me than dosing 2/3 part.
