I have a k1 stirrer what is the best method for using it and which brand of kalkwasser do i get

If you are using a stirrer, that is the method for this tool. I use pickling lime from the grocery store - Mrs Wages. You can get many other kinds of Kalk.

The long and short is to find out what your evaporation is and dose less than that. You can start off significantly less but you don't want to increase past that. Otherwise salinity will come down as you will be dosing just slightly higher amount of freshwater than you need to.

There are other theories where you set it up to be exclusively controlled by pH. I haven't really looked into it because the more traditional has worked for me.

Here's a graph of what I am dosing. Please understand my system is almost 500 gallons that's why the quantity is as high as it is.
