I have a 180 gallon DT with a 50 gallon sump. FOWLR and eventually just softies. 20 gallon water changes every second week. Parameters remain solid with good calcium alk and magnesium readings. My question is would there be any advantage to me dripping kalkwasser in my ATO?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

No, in fact you could do some harm. If your Alk and Calc are constant you would cause them to start increasing, even with water changes. Until you have some more Alk/Calc demand it is best to not dose Kalk. Once you start seeing a measurable drop in alk and calc between water changes you can start dosing kalk to take advantage of the small pH bump.

I probably wouldn’t add limewater unless the goal was to keep the alkalinity at the high end of that range, which would be fine and may make some corals grow faster, but is adding complexity.
