Hey fellow reefers,
I decided that going Klak is the way i want to move forward with my tank ( RS reefer 650P ) 175 gal. tank is and will be more so LPS heavy with a few sofites and SPS in the mix. but LPS dominate.
my plan is to use max saturation of 2tbs per gallon of RODI my WC has slower down due to low N&P but once I get more fish in the tank I plan to get up AWC of 1-2 gallon per day and go from there.
so my questions are:
~ How much kalk are you guys dosing per day? are we talking ML or gallon?
~what size in your kalkwasser container vs tank size? I thought I heard Ryna from BRS say something like 10% of tank size??
~Do we need air tight containers? I am thinking a 10 gallon tank with glass lid if I go under the stand ( in my controller cabbie if I can fit it.) or a 20L in the basement.
~ for dosing seems that I cant get my hand on a versa ( trying for 1.5+ years now ) I am thinking the DOS or RS reefdose but open to other dosing pumps too. any suggestions?
