I am going to start dosing kalwasser by adding it to my ATO. Should I add a pump to where my top off is? I heard it wont be as effective if the water is still. It will be in my back chamber.

Kalkwasser in your ATO can work great but I would not add a circulating pump to your ATO resevoir. The kalkwasser in this situation will remain potent longer if you do not disturb it and allow it to form a calcium carbonate skin on the top of the water.

I would make sure to rinse out the ATO bucket periodically to remove any insoluble calcium that settles out of the mixture.

Sorry about that. I meant adding a powerhead to the back chamber where the ATO tubing drips to replenish evaporation

Isn't there a return pump somewhere back there anyways? It's generally a good idea to dose anything to an area of high flow but I don't think you need additional pumps for circulation just for the top off area.
