Kalkwasser drip

I don't know how big of drops you are making with whatever device you are using, but the goal is to spread the dosing out over as long as possible to avoid the pH spike that comes with rapidly delivery of limewater. Like most of the night, if you can do it. :)

What do you intend to use to drip?

I have a plastic container 1 gallon ( tea drink) and has 2 tubes that I blow in one and starts siphon drip. Do you also recommend a magnesium drip ? i would like to enrich my corals with more magnesium. they sell white crystals of magnesium, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT? P.s. I appreciate all your replies. ------- I adopted this tank from a friend, (eastablished for 12 years) and want it to continue to flourish.

There's never a need for a magnesium drip. It depletes so slowly, if at all, that manual dosing once a week or once a month is often plenty.

What brand magnesium supplement?

I'd figure out how much you are evaporating each day, and set the drip to add about that much each night, if possible.

You should determine how much calcium hydroxide to add to that drip water by tracking alkalinity in the tank. If it is rising too much (over 11 dKH or whatever your target is) add less. If it is not maintaining at least 7 dKH, add more. Max amount is about 2 level teaspoons per gallon of fresh water.
