What container can you suggest for kalk? Maybe a 5g bucket (like what I use for water changes) if I have to. Is polyethylene safe?

I use them for CA, ALK, and kalk. Unfortunately buckets will eventually crack like most water plastic water jugs when using Kalk. Glass is the best long term solution. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Anchor-Hocking-2-5-gal-Barrel-Jar-85679/204266872?cm_mmc=Shopping|G|Base|HDH|29-29_HOUSEWARES|NA|PLA|Food+Storage|71700000053156031|58700005102355542|92700044668187217&gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2_X-_4TL4gIVSLXACh3Vcg7AEAQYAyABEgJtGvD_BwE
