Kalkwasser for FOWLR

Hello I have a 220 gallon FOWLR . The pH level is always 7.6 to 8.0 . I cant run my skimmer intake to outside.
Can dosing slight quantities of kalkwasser in ATO help?. I normally use the regular IO salt. Any one using it /

The simple answer is yes...dosing kalkwasser can be used to raise PH. The issue you might see though is that by using Kalk to raise PH, you could be raising your alkalinity to unacceptable ranges. I have a very small office where my tank is and the CO2 that i exhale brings my PH down to the danger zone. I cannot dose enough kalk to compensate without my alk being in the 10s or higher. if you cant run an airline outside, have you thought about a CO2 scrubber? Potentially a safer answer to get that PH up.

My dkh is 10 . I havent used a co2 scrubber but i will take a look. I dont have any space left in my sump
