Hi. I have 15 gallon reef tank with some LPS and 2 fish. How can I add kalkwasser (Kent mix) if my parameters like this:-
Ph 7.8
Kh 8
Ca 400
(N.B in 1 month kh drop from 12 to 8 & Ca from 440 to 400)
Thanks

Put it into your auto top off. I use one teaspoon in a 3 gallon jug.

If you use an auto top off, it would be easy as you need very little. For manual once a day top off, it will likely still work.

You're alk demand is 4 dKH in a month or very roughly 0.13 dKH per day.

Assuming the total water volume is 15 gallons, then 2 ounces of saturated limewater per day will do it.

If you made up 5 gallons of top off water, add a half of a teaspoon of solid calcium hydroxide to it and use that for top off, watching that alk is not rising too much. :)

Adding all at once is OK. Add to a high flow area, and adding slowly is better.
