Kalkwasser High ALK Question

I am running a Seahorse Tank with Kalkwasser and dosing nothing else. I have the Kalk in the lazy man's way in my Fresh Reservoir. Am I just to assume I have really to much evaporation which in turns is causing my Kalk to dose to much?

Probably, but you don’t have to run it fully saturated. I assume you’ve got some sort of pH related shut off, in case of overdose?

If you want the alk lower, then as suggested, reduce the potency of the kalkwasser.

Ok that's what I thought. I figured it was just a tad to much potency but I didn't want my PH to take anymore of hit.

It's a trade off for which there is no alternative unless you take other approaches to pH.
