I have a 5 gallon top off reservoir that I added 5 tsp of kalk to. After mixing it how long should I let it settle for before using it?

It only needs a couple minutes to settle out and it's good to go

Should take a few hours.
I let my 10 gal sit for 6-8

Once the water is clear, and no longer cloudy, with white settled to bottom, good to go

It has not settled yet, but to be fair I mixed it 3 hours ago.

For me the water clears 2-3 hours after mixing. I like to drip Kalkwasser in at night separate from my ATO. The concern is getting an Alk spike if too much ATO water goes in too quickly.

I let mine settle overnight. Anything left after that is not significant.
