No, you do not want to add it directly to the aquarium. It will not interact as desired when mixed immediately with saltwater. Can also encourage rapid calcium deposits on pump impellers.
I have read about some people mixing a slurry with RO water but couldn’t say the results.

Some folks use a slurry when needing to add a lot, but in a sock, you will locally precipitate magnesium hydroxide (which may eventually redissolve) and calcium carbonate (which will not redissolve).
