Kalkwasser reactor

I would say that I new to reefing but I had a 90g back in 2012 which I sold cause I moved, but now I'm getting back into it and want to do things right and have my tank looking great. What can yall tell me about the benefits of using a kalkwasser reactor vs using a calcium reactor. This will be going on either a 160 peninsula or 225 peninsula.
