I want to start dosing kalk, but I have a few questions:

1. My container is a HDPE plastic container, will it work?

2. Will I be able to dose it on a nano tank? I've seen mixed reviews about doing this

3. I don't have a doser so I have to manually dose it. Could I just use a syringe and do I need gloves?

I know these are beginner questions but it's 9:30 in the night and my brain is about to crash.

Thanks in advance

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Probably not.

I ran kalk in my ato in a 20 gal nano for years. It worked really well. As long as your evaporation rate stays somewhat steady id say this is the easiest and most affordable option.

I agree with above. Manual dosing is somewhat tedious since you may want to do it multiple times a day, but that depends on how much you are adding.
Do you know how much alk your tank consumes in a day?
